Sprowl Funeral Home
Today’s #FridayFocus is on Sprowl Funeral Home & Cremation Care, an independent minority-owned and operated business located within the North West Area of Indianapolis. It may seem unconventional to focus on a funeral home, but the $1.2 million facility provides exceptional service with compassion, integrity, and dignity to families in times of need.
Co-owners Lori Hobbs and Lloyd Sprowl, who are also brother and sister, opened their doors in the Spring of 2019 with the hopes of making a positive impact in the community. Inspired by their uncle, Roland Martin, who was a mortician and pastor, the duo understands that showing compassion and serving others during difficult times can be transformative.
In addition to funeral and cremation services, Sprowl Funeral Home & Cremation Care is making its mark in the community. The multipurpose Chapel is a hub for groups and organizations to host community events, educational trainings, and corporate events, bringing people together to enjoy and experience fellowship outside of more traditional bereavement services. In times of bereavement, they make connecting with loved ones more accessible by live streaming services for people who are unable to physically attend these services. It’s more than just a place to rest loved ones; it’s a place to learn, fellowship, and celebrate life.
