I LOVE Mompreneurs

During the pandemic, many working mothers and fathers were forced to simultaneously maintain their jobs and care for their children. Because of the disruption of childcare, many working moms bore the brunt of this problem and were forced to leave their 9-5 due to childcare demands.

Not only did this force the hand of corporate jobs to become more flexible to retain working moms, but it also inspired moms to become entrepreneurs. While being a mom and business owner is a challenging balancing act, the determination to make a dream a reality and build a legacy for their families is why I support mom-owned small businesses.

One small business that I fell in love with is Play Pits. Chantel Power, wife and mom of three, created a natural deodorant for her youngest son, who at the time played football and basketball and had an "ungodly smell." As a boy mom, I was immediately interested in her product. I also ran into smelly situations when my son's deodorant caused a skin reaction or wasn't doing the job. After spending lots of money trying different deodorants, I discovered Play Pits and decided to try it.

Like any entrepreneur, moms know that their time is precious and limited. A lot goes into being organized, self-disciplined, and consistent to reach business goals and raise a family at the same time.

So, before this month ends, I urge you to support a mom-owned small business. She's working tirelessly to create a legacy to provide for her family and make an impact on her community.
