Rebranding Male Role Models
For generations, the male role model was branded as someone who could not bend, could not break and could not let the world see him feel too much. Strength was often measured by how much a man could carry without complaint, how much emotion he could suppress and how much control he could maintain in his home, his work and his relationships.
The Men Who Shape Us
As Father's Day approaches each June, we start taking time this month to celebrate dads. We share photos, buy cards, and express gratitude for the men who helped raise us. But in my opinion, the conversation should not end there. We should spend more time recognizing the contributions of men, not just as fathers, but as leaders, mentors, protectors, providers, and role models in our homes and communities.

Motherhood isn't always about biology. It's about the moments we nurture, guide, and lift others up.
I've known this truth for years — I wrote about it long before I fully lived it. I wrote about how the essence of mothering isn't contained in a delivery room or a birth certificate, but in the quiet, consistent act of showing up. Of choosing someone. Of saying, I see you, and I will not let you navigate this alone. What I didn't know then was how completely, and how beautifully, life would ask me to prove it.
